Ariel's magical treehouse/dollhouse. It works like a hologram and is about the same size as she is. With her hands she can control shape and color and it keeps her occupied for hours at a time. :-)
Whiplash image and an idea that enchants. I spent the longest time in a room once with a bunch of children, where colours and shapes drifted across a floor to ceiling screen. They were completely mesmerized, as was I, and I decided if I ever have money to burn that would be my one crazy extravagance, a room with such a wall. The concept of a such play house where the child could control movement, colour and shape is precisely what you said, a magical thought. :-) Love the way your mind works. :-)
