Thanks Meg. You know, one can never underestimate the power of a kind word and likewise the hurt that can be delivered with an unkind one. They say the tongue is sharper than the sword.
One of my favorite quotes of all time, and I'm using it with my managers this week as they train their rookies in the field is:
"It's better to be kind than to be right." And that's assuming one was right in the first place, which I have learned the hard way, the more I think I'm right, but greater the chance I'm about to make a fool of myself. ;-)
Thanks for being kind. It never gets old. Never. :-)
its easy for us (your loyal fans) to be kind with words when the material is always so worthy of it.
btw, I hope I've never said any unkind words your way - this medium that we all use - the net, blogging, etc is set-up in a way that the reader's interprutation (I think I misspelled that)can be vastly different from what was intended by the writer.
Like that just now - did that even make sense - oh, you know, I know you do.
Meg, your comments have been wonderful and very, very much appreciated; they have been what I call engaged and sincere and no matter how many times I say thank you I still feel I never say it enough.
I agree 100%. Email and type is so prone to miscommunication, which is why in the business world you try never to deliver bad news in an email, because email has no tone, or body language, its just flat, which is why in my own comments here I almost always end with a smiley of some sort to imply a positive lighthearted tone to whatever I'm writing.
One of my goals in having a blog is to have a place to come that I want to come to and to some extent shape my "blog world." I have enough stress and pressure in my "real world" and if my blog was just a reflection of that, then, well, I'd see no reason to blog. Instead, I like the idea of having a place filled with peace and joy and love and compassion, a place I look forward to coming to and over the last two years I've worked hard to create that environment.
Again, thanks so much for being a loyal reader of the story and I do so enjoy your unique take on the chapters and the contribution you make to the discussion. There is nothing I love more than engaged commentary on the story and what is happening. I can't tell you the joy that gives me.
I see my self in the middle of it but am I looking "up" or am I looking "down"
Very creative you are...and I can't wait to be apart of the blog that commentates on your story blog...it will be a great escape for me and I can't wait for the journey to begin...he's to ya ;o)
Jillie, I've got a seat waiting for you on the other place and I'm keeping it warm. I think you are going to make an outstanding commentary contribution to our small group of dedicated "story groupies."
As for this image, I'm humbled at the kindness. Thank you Jillie. :-)
Hi Tree, wondering if there's something wrong wif my browser or u have given up the other site. Latest post is Sept 2006! Was thinking for the past few days, it's weird you havent been updating, then I looked closer and saw the date.
Saffy, DT has gone private by invite only. I don't have an email for you and you don't have one on your blog so I haven't been able to invite you. On my profile is my email. If you send me your email, I'd be happy to have you at DT. Take care. :-)

Peace to you Meg. :-)
Reminds me of lilies, and equally as beautiful, which is to say seriously beautiful.
Hey Meg. :-)
Thank you Sweetest. Welcome home. Ready for that foot massage? :-)

;o) you are more than welcome and keep that seat warm for me. The chair too...lol
The seat is always warm. Now the chair, well, guess I better get working on that. Wouldn't want you to be disappointed. :-D
I doubt you would ;o)
Oooh, something about the way you said that made my heart flutter, or was that something else. :-D
