Isn't there a scene in Alice in Wonderland where she is surrounded by ticking clocks? Certainly, I have seen that somewhere. My first thought had to do with pocket watches, but it soon faded. Abstract and beautiful, that's a very nice combination. :-)
When I first saw this one I thought of Japanese pinball, and then perhaps this is a game played within the universe of our story. Who knows, perhaps we will see it at a later point in time. :-)
