There is a very pretty face looking out from the midst of this, near the top, a face so tranquil, as though in wisdom, knowledge, I thought of guidance, guardian angels, a soothing presence assuring that everything will be all right. For a moment before that I thought of the Serpent and Eagle (really hope I didn't get those wrong!) chapter. For a moment after I thought of Cait. I thought of the expression the face of God, goddesses. Most of all I thought how it looks painted, every brush stroke visible.
